Pasta Roni: Friend or Foe?

Lol, OK so I did something I told myself I would never do. I was trying to save some money on groceries and bent to the lower standards of cooking and bought 3 boxes of Pasta Roni. As you all know I much prefer to cook my own meals from scratch, so I must say that I was very pleased when I found out that I had never been missing much. After trying these "college staples" as so many people put them, I realized that according to the average college student "the more salt in the food the better." So I say "BLAH" to you "college staples," because I prefer not to clog my arteries with salty, fatty food. Now I just have to figure out what to do with my other two boxes of Pasta Roni. :)

On a different note, I have to tell you all my amazing feat! I finally defeated my messy room! All my clothes are either hanging in my closet or in the process of getting washed, my bed has been washed and remade and my closet is organized. And I FINALLY got my bag unpacked from the weekend before school started when we visited Kelly and Casey, er, I think that was close to 4 weeks ago. :) So I'm starting this week with a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction that I have a clean retreat to come home to after school or work. The girls are definitely taking full advantage of the cleared floor space, wrestling and running around like banshees! I must confess; however, that my desk is not quite done. I have the majority of junk off of it but I need to go back and clean out the drawers, scarey.

On the subject of Reading:
I have finally finished the first book from James Herriot's Series. It was amazing, I laughed, cried, and nodded my head many of times in agreement. I have made a list of the books that I am reading and in the order I am reading them next. Here they are:
  • All Things Bright and Beautiful: James Herriot
  • All Things Wise and Wonderful: James Herriot
  • The Lord God Made Them All: James Herriot
  • Every Living Thing: James Herriott
  • Beside A Burning Sea: John Shors
  • Geisha, A Life: Mineko Iwasaki
  • A Month of Summer: Lisa Wingate
  • The Chronicles of Narnia: C.S. Lewis
  • A Voice in the Wind: Francine Rivers

If you have any other suggestions let me know. I am really trying to try new types of reading.

A Very Content,

Kasey

Donate the Pasta Roni to the food shelter. :-P Blech...

I went grocery shopping today and ALMOST bought ramen. Casey wanted me to pick up some because we are poor. Luckily, I couldn't find it. ;-) Instead, I bought myself my new addiction, chocolate-covered almonds. ;-)

I have never heard of Pasta Roni. But I'm all for letting your roomie have it if you don't want it! :)

Kasey, you need to try the books from Frank Peretti. OMGoodness! The first 2 are Piercing the Darkness and This Present Darkness. I can't remember which one comes first, but you need to figure that out and then read them! Amazing. I think I've told you about them, but it seriously changed the way I prayed. The books are Christian novels and they are about spiritual warfare. After you've read those 2 books he has several others that are amazing too.

Well, I'm sitting here eating a Lean Cuisine, working on homework, and watching the Cowboys play on Monday Night Football. Love it! Love you!
