The Incident
To answer your questions, Kasey and myself were jogging down 48Th towards Quaker, when we here shouting. I think it is just kids playing in the street; however Kasey has better hearing than myself and motions for us to stand still and listen, sure enough after a second we hear another scream (one which is defiantly not a child) and I sprint towards the sound with Kasey some distance behind me. When I get to the house a woman and man are tussling over a phone with each shouting incoherently. I then proceed to shove the guy to the side, and make sure the woman is OK. So I made sure the guy stayed were he was (basically all we could garner was the man wanted a phone number out of the phone and the woman just wanted her phone so she could leave, it is her phone by the way)while asking the woman if she was alright or we needed to call the cops (neither of us had our phones on us) after a second the neighbor shows up in his truck (he was slightly inebriated at the time) wanting everyone to shut/fight him. He then proceeds to get out of his truck and ask the other fellow, not myself, what his (Expletive deleted) problem is and why he feels the need to cause such a raucous in the street, then he sees me. Apparently he didn't realize that there were two men in the yard, or that one was bigger than him (I guess when you are drunk and looking for a fight you want one you can easily win), one he does realize this he makes amends by asking who I am and if I have a problem with him or if we are "Cool". I tell him I am just a concerned individual and I am just trying to help out, once this fact is established he proceeds to continue picking on the other man. (At this time the woman has retrieved her phone and made a speedy getaway in her car) I step between the two gents and remind the neighbor that he doesn't need to do anything stupid, luckily he listens to me. At this point the situation is as placid as it can be, so I recommend that everyone just go home, which we do. All this time Kasey as been off to the side, so that in case anything did get out of control she could run back to the house and get ahold of the police. I know that I have probably left some detail out so if you feel that something is missing please let me know and I will correct.

Wow...crazy. What was the approximate age for these people? lol
There approximate age(S) were around mid 20's to early 30's
Of course Mom is thinking, "There could have been a gun!" In those cases it is best to call the police and then if needed step in. I am very proud of you two - I just know that people who are under the influence of...things (Kasey mentioned she thought the man involved with the woman in the tussel was probably high) have super-human strength and absolutely no judgement whatsoever. I'm so glad you intervened, but I hope you guys start jogging with your phones (no fun, I know).
You two are awesome!
Love Mom
